Lilian Wu Finckel (Lili) is an instructor at Clayhouse. As a ceramicist and artist based in Brooklyn, she loves to experiment with functional and aesthetic ceramics, incorporating utility and form into her art practice. She hopes her students will gain an appreciation for all ceramics has to offer creatively, while also mastering the basic techniques. She is currently an artist-in-residence and programming fellow at Chinatown Soup, a non-profit community arts space in Chinatown, where she co-founded and manages a zine shop. Lili also co-organizes the NYC Feminist Zinefest, and curating programs and workshops with her series, Femme Mâché. She graduated from Barnard College with a Bachelor’s in Art History & Studio Art in 2016.
