In-Studio Subsidized Membership ($185/month)
As an arts community member, we’d like to acknowledge that there are higher barriers to access the arts for those who are struggling financially. In an effort to create a more diverse and equitable community in our studio, we are now offering a reserved number of membership spots at a substantially discounted rate. This membership includes everything listed above in the basic membership.
Consider applying for our subsidized membership if you:
- have significant debt (non-mortgage).
- struggle to access insurance or have medical expenses not covered by insurance.
- have limited to no savings and no family financial support.
- are unemployed or underemployed, and it is not by choice.
- have an earning power impeded by immigration status, gender, race, disability, incarceration history, level of education, and/or class background.
We trust that you will be truthful about your financial situation to make sure these spots go to those who truly need it!
If you would like to be added to the subsidized membership waitlist, please email us:
- include the subject line “subsidized membership”
- provide us with a brief description of your experience with clay
- attach or link to some images of your current work
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and membership will be offered as spaces become available.

We’d like to thank GasworksNYC for bringing this concept of clay membership to our community as well as their inspiration for sliding scales which we also learned from: Rock Steady Farm, Zenger Farm.
